more things knocked off my list

-eat sushi, check!
-play popn music in the arcade, check! side note: watching japanese people play beat mania types games like popn music, dance dance revolution, or guitar freaks is a spectacle to behold. i saw a guy pull off a 800 combo in popn music at unhuman like speeds. you have to see it to believe it. side note 2: now i know why there are arcades and patchinko parlours on every corner of the street in japan, japanese tv sucks! most of it is of the wacky tv variety type or its some program teaching english. i need more anime! side note 3: nothing is a cooler feeling then seeing an arcade packed with all sorts of people, including old guys and guys in business suits coming from work

things i didnt get to do
-go to the square soft building. it was too hard to find and not enough time.

things left to do
-watch a japanese movie
-try karaoke. this will probably be a hard thing to do since its not cool going by yourself!


so went to the world expo on monday. very cool. extremely crowded but very cool. didnt get to go to many of the cooler pavilions due to two hour plus waits although i did get to go inside the earth tower which is the worlds largest kaleidoscope. very trippy. went to many global pavillions including the canadian pavillion which was very cool. other cool things were riding a driverless bus, seeing cool robots and taking pictures with fuzzy cutesy mascots

right now i am in kyoto. spent the last two days checking out famous temples and shrines so right now i am all templed out and am looking forward to some urban-ness and shopping. tommorow we are going to osaka and after that it is sayonara japan!
