Konichiwa!
konichiwa!
yup its me checking in from japan. having a wicked time so far. but first off i have to say that i am having an extremely extremely difficult time writing this using a japanese keyboard, i dont understand half the things that are on it!
highlights so far
i have never experience humidity more greater than the few days ive spent here. its like a sauna here!
everything here is small. our hotel room is smaller than most peoples rooms and our washroom is the size of a closet. i do have to give props to the toilet, with its built in spray and all
the food here is the greatest. i went to a tempura restaurant today and after that i dont want to eat anything but tempura for the rest of my life. its that good
half day tour around tokyo, went to tokyo tower, a shinto shrine, and a whole 10 minutes at the front gate of the imperial palace.
spent an afternoon at sega joypolis, pretty much a gigantic arcade. look at me, i love it!
went up to mt fuji. it was all covered in clouds so i didnt actually get to see mt fuji although i can claim that i was on mt fuji.
spent an entire morning at akihabara, which is the electronics district. i felt like i was in heaven, jumping from video game store to arcade to another arcade to another video game store.. dream realized: seeing wall after wall of nothing but game music.
i met some famous kabuki actor even though i didnt know who he was. i just figured the horde of young girls sitting outside the kabuki theatre taking his pictures and getting his autograph sort of gave it away.
tokyo is a nightmare to navigate. even worse is trying to figure out the subway system. they have like 10 lines!
and yes, japan is extremely crowded!
well sayonara for now

i heard the earthquake was caused by Godzilla. You should send the 'giant black man' after him. then he'll have sex w/a volcano.
